Floating Rock Productions Announces Release of Found-Footage Horror Feature “Last Look”
Logline: A social media influencer finds himself stuck in a hellish card game that terrorizes him and his coffee shop with creatures straight from the cards themselves
After finally hitting a milestone of one-million followers, Jason, also known as Java, stumbles upon a mysterious card as he cleans up his coffee shop to head home for the night. The action of sliding the card into his pocket unknowingly tears his world apart over the next five days.
With each day introducing Jason to a new card, his mental health and life will become questionable as five cards over the five days will ruin everything he loves about his life as he struggles to keep his sanity and his customers.
A small main crew of four, staying under a $10k budget (which is considered a “no budget” film), and filmed in only six days, this project includes multiple social media influencers portraying themselves, a cameo from a horror icon (Top Secret), and more surprises. From idea concept to sending out screeners took just under three months, with the help of a hybrid improv-style script.
“With all of our projects that we’re currently pitching to studios, we wanted to create a micro-budget film that we would have a blast working on and be able to bypass some of the gatekeepers.”
